Saturday of Fan Expo Chicago was certainly the busiest day all weekend. While there didn’t seem to have quite the numbers of a Saturday in previous years, the condensed show floor and narrower aisles made it feel more packed.
If attendees needed a break from shopping or looking at art, there were celebrity guest photo ops and autographs, as well as more panels than one could feasibly fit into one day! With celebrity guest panels, anime screenings, cosplay how-tos, and a cosplay competition, there was certainly something to appeal to every attendee. In the family area, Captain America read a book to some kids who were absolutely enthralled.

I attended the Lord of the Rings cosplay meetup in the morning, where quite a bit of silliness was had. I made a video capturing some of it, as well as some of the gorgeous wares for sale.
