[Cosplay Photos] FAN EXPO Chicago – Saturday (Pt. 2)

It was great being at Fan Expo Chicago simply for the fact that we once again got to experience a large convention. We got to hang out with friends we hadn’t seen in ages and we got to make some new friends. We got to wander and shop and visit new vendors. We also saw a lot of our old favorites.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of things that were not nice about Fan Expo Chicago. I can’t stress enough about the poor layout. The cosplay was broken into three sections, You had the cosplay guests against the far wall, then the cosplay groups were several aisles away, a few of which were tucked in with vendors. then there was a bar set up directly across from a children’s charity group. Then the Cosplay Red carpet was stuck all the way down at the other end, by the panel rooms.

I saw competing vendors across from each other, and most of the artists were tucked over into an alcove that was easy to overlook. All the food vendors (the few there were) were stuck into a ‘food court’ in an alcove next to Artist Alley; if you missed one, you missed both.

Over all the layout did not make sense.

I did do some minor celebrity spotting on Saturday and snagged a few pics of the Stargirl cast.

But, I don’t think you came here to see the celebrities, so, on to the cosplay!
