Saturday is the main day for almost all conventions. This is the day of the contests, the day when all of the celebrities are on-site, the day for the big panels. If you want the full experience, but can only go one day, then this is the day to do that. The problem with Saturdays is that this is also the day of the crowds. If you really wanted to buy something, good luck, it might be sold out before you get to it.
Saturday also brings out some of the best cosplays. Unfortunately, I took so many pictures that I ran out of battery, so some of this batch was taken on the phone.
