The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) is on this weekend (April 26-28). We are on site for the second day to get some great C2E2 2024 Saturday Cosplay photos and talk about the con.
Saturday was crowded, crowded and hot. It was actually difficult to even stop for photos. Despite the crowds, everyone seemed to be having fun.

I noticed that C2E2 and the City of Chicago had these great banners up along the road. It actually surprised me that it has been 15 years , I didn’t realize I had been going for that long.
The vendor aisles were much wider this year which helped with traffic flow in that area. The crowds seemed to be more tightly packed in Artists Alley. I’m not sure if the aisles in artists alley were narrower or if there were just more people there.
Rate the Con
Our new thing for 2024 is to ask our readers to take a poll on some basic components of the con. We want to know how you rate the parking, the vendors and the food. The poll closes after 30 days and we will use this as a baseline for next years convention. We plan to keep a rating system set up for many of the conventions.
We realize that these don’t apply to all conventions, so if they don’t apply to your con, give them a 5 star.
**Later additions to the rating systems will include things such as guests and ticket prices**
One problem I noticed with the floor layout this year was at the front near the entrance. The 7 Bucks A Pop booth had several autograph opportunities, autographs means lines. The autograph lines were straight back towards the entrance and tended to cause a confused traffic jam. This is a prime booth placement, which means you want to be seen. Things might have flowed nicer if they had done autograph lines leading out the other side of their booth.
