[Video] What We Watched: Fun Clips from the Past Week – November 2 – 8

While we’re all staying at home, a lot of us are watching things online. With the plethora of videos available, and more being created every day, it’s an enjoyable way to pass the time and bring a little fun into our lives. Some of these may be brand new, some may be older, but here are a few of the videos I enjoyed this week.

During DC’s FanDome event in August, we were given a teaser trailer for The Batman starring Robert Pattinson. One fan took it upon themselves to recreate the trailer out of Legos, and the result is quite fun!

The new season of The Mandalorian is already available, but this YouTube user created a video on what is might look like if the series were in the vein of a Japanese anime.

This has been a stressful week for a lot of people, but Chris Hemsworth is here to help! The Marvel actor has released several videos on the channel for his Centr fitness app that “postivitely, absolutely, probably (most likely) won’t make your 2020 worse”.

Similarly, there’s something very calming about this video of soft, furry objects is sure to bring you a sense of calm and give you a smile. My only complaint is that it isn’t long enough!

With conventions cancelled for the forseeable future, cosplayers have had to get a little creative in order to get their cosplay fix in. Fortunately, a number of photographers in the cosplay community have been putting together cosplay quarantine videos where participants can submit their own videos of them in cosplay from the safety of their own homes. The best part about it is that you can get creative and get more into character with your submission that you might be able to at a convention. Justin Pineda Media recently released one such video, and the result is quite fun!

Ariana Piknjac is a classical trained flutist who also enjoys sharing covers on pop culture theme songs and popular songs. Here are a few examples of her videos and feel free to check out her channel for more!

You might not know his face, but actor Doug Jones is behind many of your favorite sci-fi characters. He has quite the filmography, with only a few of his more well-known roles being Hocus Pocus, Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, Crimson Peak, Falling Skies, and The Shape of Water. Most recently Jones has been portraying the role of Saru on Star Trek: Discovery. In this video, Jones talks about what it’s like to mostly play characters that involve lots of prosthesis and special effects makeup.

If there’s anything cuter than a sleeping animal, it just might be one that fighting falling asleep. I admit that I already love red pandas, but this one trying to balance on a log as it drifts off the sleep might just be my favorite!

And apropos of absolutely nothing except a bit of silliness, here’s a song about tacos on Christmas Eve!

What fun videos have you seen this week?
