It’s safe to say that there are a lot of videos out on the internet. Even aside from streaming television shows and movies, entire websites and apps are built around creating and sharing videos, and we love sharing the ones we enjoy so that others might enjoy them as well. Here are some of the videos (both new and old) I’ve enjoyed watching the past week, and I hope you enjoy them as well!
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance may only have had a single season on Netflix, but the series certainly is beloved by fans of Jim Henson‘s 1982 film. It combined the best of old and new technology to bring the fantasy world to life for fans new and old, as this video showcases.
Last week I shared a VFX reel from Season 2 of The Mandalorian, and this week I have a video of director Jon Favreau going in-depth on how they created that fight with the Krayt dragon and the surprise appearance in the Season 2 finale.
With all the careful planning that goes into planning a city, let alone one the size of Paris, you would think that something like an intersection filled with ‘no entry’ signs would be impossible. Then again, humans are inherently fallible, and this video explains how just that very thing happened.
Earth’s oceans are one of the planet’s biggest mysteries, but are also filled with an immense amount of beauty. This video of a drone operator reacting to a fever (yes, that’s what they’re called) of cownose rays is utterly delightful. The operator’s reaction is entertaining enough, but the beauty and grace of the creatures as they move in formation really is quite a sight to behold.
Many of us know all too well the consequences of a big night out, but even the galaxy’s biggest villains have been know to stay up late partying now and again!
In the past, I’ve shared many roller coaster and loop-the-loop courses people have built in their homes and backyards using Hot Wheels and LEGOs, but those aren’t the only building materials out there. K’nex are eminently suitable for building complicated structures, as this impressive roller coaster shows. The train goes through hills, tunnels, a giant loop, and more. If this were a coaster large enough for people, it would be quite the thrill ride!
Not one to miss a beat, the newest Disney+ series is ready to premiere in just over a week. The Bad Batch follows the misfit group of clones we were introduced to in the final season of The Clone Wars as they try to navigate a rapidly changing galaxy in the wake of the Clone War. One of the best parts for me was the appearance of Fennec Shand, Ming-Na Wen‘s character from The Mandalorian!
