PopCultHQ’s Comic Book Review:
ELSEWHERE #2
Jay Faerber comes back to bring fans the second leg of Amelia Earhart’s exciting new adventures on an alien world. The plot gets intense this issue but that only heightens the already high story appeal, which is going to only bring back current readers and new ones who delve into this series at its start. There are still lots of questions to be answered and the answers can only be found as Elsewhere keeps on coming.
Art:
Sumeyye Kesgin takes another swing at bat on this issue and adds new elements with the art, namely in the form of other aliens on this strange new world Amelia Earhart finds herself on. Plus the script from Faerber takes people into another new section of the planet, which allows Kesgin to bring more awesome art forward, mixed in to Faerber’s script-work.
Ron Riley shows what can happen when given new challenges in the form of new characters to work with. And what happens is some excellent color choices for these aliens, especially with the reveal readers get in the form of a certain figure only mentioned during the first issue. Nothing more to be said on that, only that Riley does it again on awesome coloring.
Thomas Mauer’s lettering is a hit once more. He takes Faeber’s script, Kesgin’s art, added in with Riley’s colors, and puts his own touch to the second issue by showing what the new characters sound like. With each new figure who has dialogue in this issue, readers will be able to differentiate between who they are and their personalities and that is all thanks to Thomas Mauer and his lettering.
PopCultHQ’s overall assessment:
Elsewhere #2 is out and that means more adventures of Amelia Earhart on an alien planet. What happens next in her adventure and who she encounters only keeps stirring the pot of awesome and fantastic that is being produced by the series’ team, and each member’s contributions showcase how they make the story progress and move along and come to life. This all serves to entice people to want to keep reading and see what is going to happen next issue.
PopCultHQ’s Rating:
5 Out of 5 Stars
