What the f*** did I just read?!!

I know a great comic book by its compelling story, and most importantly by the impact it leaves me after I read it. Superhero story-arcs come and they go, with the bad ones easily forgotten, mediocre ones being discarded, and good ones brought up often. But the masterpieces, the really juicy, innovative stuff……those stories last forever!

That is what InSEXts #1 was to me. A truly innovative, groundbreaking comic book that deserves all the cliché of accolades that get tossed its way.

The boundaries and limitations often put on comics and females in the industry just got tossed out the window here by writer Marguerite Bennett. There are NO limitations or boundaries to the still tasteful, but appropriately needed, nudity and graphic sexual content that you find in InSEXts #1. Still it made me, a frequent reader of French comic books, a bit blood-rushed during certain sequences of InSEXts #1. The story is launched into another level of holy weirdness when they toss in some really gnarly, grotesque, fantasy, sci-fi visuals to really SPICE things up! I don’t want to spoil a complete surprise that InSEXts #1 will be to readers. I’ll just say you will never look at socialites and fancy people, and especially female storytellers, the same way after this masterpiece.

I haven’t even gotten to the fabulous art by Ariela Kristantina yet, who is going to titillate every visual synapse in your brain with portrait-quality artwork. It’s a perfect blend that will make you completely BURST with astonishment by the time you get to the end of this issue. And this is just issue #1!
