Meet Lily, The Throw and Go Drone Camera

In this era of ‘Selfies’ someone is always trying to find a better way to record themselves. First it was the backwards facing cameras, then came the selfie-sticks, after that came the self-stick camera and now the newest thing on the market is the Lily Throw and Go Drone Camera.

Lily is easy to use and can be used by anyone. To use it simply activate the tracking device, throw Lily into the air and, as long as you have the tracking device on you, Lily will follow and film. Lily flies from 5 to 50 feet above its target and wanders no further than 100 feet from its target.lily 3

Lily uses GPS to follow you at speeds up to 25MPH and keeps you in the center of the frame. The on-board camera can shoot 12 MP still, 1080p video at 60fps or slow motion video at 720p and 120fps. The internal battery will keep Lily filming for up to 20 minutes of flight time.lily

This drone camera isn’t exactly small, but it does weigh less than an average laptop at just 2.8 lbs. It also fits into a standard backpack with a compact 10.29” x 10.29” x 3.22”. For those difficult landings, Lily is waterproof and floats, allowing you to safely land it in a the water.

Unfortunately this drone camera isn’t yet available, but you can pre-order until June 15th at a special price of $499, the price will increase after that. Shipments are expected to start in February 2016.
