It seems that every cartoon and animation that we grew up with is going live-action. It probably started with the Flintstones (pictured right) back in 1994 and it has been picking up steam ever since.
The newest cartoon to be put into a live-action format is another Hanna-Barbera classic series “The Jetsons.”
ABC has ordered a pilot episode and the team will include writer Gary Janetti, and production team Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, and Jackie Levine. The multi-camera sitcom will be set 100 years in the future and will follow our favorite space family.
The ABC project is not associated with the animated movie currently in development by Warner Bros. and director Conrad Vernon or the 2017 video release The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!
