The mission of Warcorns Division is to organize, equip, train, and validate forces to conduct full spectrum special operations in support of Pegasus Corps, Allied Universal Support Commanders, and other friendly government agencies.
Warcorns deploy and execute six distinct and multi-functional missions including unconventional warfare, direct action, counter-insurgency, special reconnaissance, counter terrorism,and security force assistance.
A Brand New Series (kind-of)…
While Warcorns: Combat Unicorns for Hire is an entirely new series, their debut in this issue is directly tied to the already successful comic book series Franklin and Ghost. If you are unfamiliar with Franklin and Ghost, educate yourself and return when you are intellectually and emotionally ready to proceed. Or, I guess, you can just read the synopsis of Franklin and Ghost below…
Franklin and Ghost Synopsis:
In a last-ditch effort to see more of the universe before accepting their inevitably boring lives as miners on their home planet Defilion, Franklin and Ghost steal a ship and head out for one last adventure.
When they accidentally crash to Earth, they seek shelter in the bodies of a couple unsuspecting hosts. Hell bent on having a good time, Franklin and Ghost team up for the rage-filled quest of a lifetime. But if they aren’t careful, they may leave a bloody trail of breadcrumbs easily followed by those who would seek to destroy them for disobeying interplanetary protocol.

Warcorns: Combat Unicorns for Hire Synopsis:
Warcorns picks up between Franklin and Ghost Volumes two and three.
After having successfully evaded two complete dispatches of Retrieval Bots from Defilion, Franklin and Ghost are sent by their female accomplice, Delilah, to retrieve a rare weapon that is instrumental to the destruction of Defilion.
Warcorns Special Forces Group Alpha is dispatched, at the behest of General Erich Badguey, to intercept Franklin and Ghost and return them to Defilion dead or alive.
Writer – Garrett Gunn
An occasionally talented writer, Garrett Gunn is the creator and writer of Franklin and Ghost. He has been published 15 times and currently writes numerous titles for a variety of independent publishers, most notably Source Point Press. Some of his other works include Franklin and Ghost, The Boxmasters: A Twisted Tale Through Time, Go West, The Fear Diaries, and Days to Come.

Kevin Stokes is an American based artist who has worked for DC Comics (Deadman: Secret Origins), Dynamite Comics (Pathfinder), Image Comics (Shut Up and Die), Stan Lee/ NHL Guardians Project, as well as various independent and co-created comics (Splitsville, Departure, and Hidden Worlds). Kevin is the interior artist on Warcorns: Combat Unicorns for Hire.

Jeremy Clark is an extremely talented inker that we’ve had the honor of having inked the covers for Warcorns: Combat Unicorns for Hire! Jeremy’s portfolio is incredibly diverse and impressive, working on various comic projects including cover ink/finishing work for Image Comics “Prodigy,” Zenescope Entertainment (Grimm Fairy Tales, Hellchild, Day of the Dead) (Escape From Monster Island), Coffin Comics (Lady Death, La Muerta), Source Point Press (Salvagers, Ogre, Franklin & Ghost), Caliber Comics, Counterpoint Comics, etc.

For those of you who don’t know of Nicolas Touris, he is most likely one of the most creative and insanely talented people in independent comics. He has drawn a handful of amazing titles (including three of my own) and continues to impress not only myself but other creators and readers around the world.

HdE is a UK based comic book letterer with fonts coming out of his ears. And nose. He’s slapped typefaces on books for Big Dog Ink, Source Point Press, Action Lab and more, and fronts a show about video games on YouTube called ‘HdE’s Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show.’ Whattaguy!

Fun, bro. So many people are obsessed with creating the “next great comic book” that most of them forget to let their readers have a good time. If you are familiar with me as a creator, or with any of my projects, you know that I put an enjoyable reading experience above all else.
I want people to love my characters. I want them to bond with them. I want them to hate them. I just want you to feel SOMETHING for them. But mostly, above everything, I want you to walk away from reading one of my books saying “Dude, what the fuck did I just read?”
I’m pretty sure this book is guaranteed to garner that response.
