Count-i-Con is an annual 3-day convention held an hour outside of Chicago, at the Lake County Fair Grounds in Greyslake, IL. This was their third year. Last year’s convention was in August, and this year they moved it to October, which unfortunately also put them in competition with several events. It’s difficult to find a weekend where you are not in conflict with something.

It was a still a great convention and it had a nice relaxed atmosphere. It was unrushed and everyone was having fun. You had plenty of opportunities to talk to your favorite artists, peruse the vendors or visit with friends. This year, I had the opportunity to meet Riki ‘Riddle’ LeCotey, a fantastic cosplayer out of Canada. Follow her on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

As usual, we got to meet new authors such as David Taylor

We even got to meet some old friends such as Scott Larson, who also had a panel on Sunday, which we attended (at least partially – Sorry Scott.)

If you want to know about hauntings in Chicago, talk to Scott. Be sure to check out his comic line – Visitations. You can find Scott on Facebook, and Twitter.
