It was a chilly March day, but cosplayers braved the weather to be at the opening of C2E2 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The first day of con is always the day to do your shopping, the crowds are less, things haven’t been picked over, and the vendors are raring to go. We got there about 10:30, so the gate crowds had already thinned and easy to navigate through and security was a breeze.

Overall it was a great day, the only complaints I had were regarding the floors. There were several places where the carpet was not laid correctly and bunched up, causing people to stumble and the places where people hang out and might appreciate some carpet were absolutely bare. Other than the carpeting issue, it was a good day with some fantastic ccosplay.
