Bloodshot has traveled from the depths of the Deadside to the far-flung future of 4002 A.D. to save his daughter’s life… and spare her the murderous inheritance of the nanites that flow through both their veins. Now, stranded at the crossroads of the 41st century with one last mission between them and freedom, the question will finally be answered: Was it all for naught?

PopCultHQ’s Comic Book Review:
Bloodshot Salvation #12

Writing:

Wrapping up a story like this, with a character like Bloodshot, is a major deal. Jeff’s storytelling style is known throughout many quarters in the comics biz. And Bloodshot is a character who is well-known and loved. Jeff has put one of Valiant’s hardest heroes through the wringer, and his family too. Now it all comes down to this, and what happens as Jeff closes the book on this chapter in Bloodshot’s life is anyone’s guess.

Art:

Doug brings it on home here in the finale. Working alongside Jeff and the rest of the creative team, he has produced artwork that has constantly and consistently been nothing short of excellent. Every panel, every page of art added more and more to the story. Taking Bloodshot literally across time and space to bring him home to his family. Only an artist of Doug’s caliber could move the story in such a way.

Jordie has been a great member of this creative team. Her coloring and use of different hues and tones for every facet of the series has helped bring it an enhanced life. Especially when she has gone all-out on color choices for location elements, like the sky and buildings and nature. Should there ever be another Bloodshot series with this team together, Jordie will hopefully return to grace fans with her coloring skills.

Throughout the whole series, Simon has had a very daunting task. Being letterer to a series like this carries a lot of responsibility and weight. Lettering so many characters, both primary and secondary. Lettering deep internal thoughts channeled via dialogue boxes. Yet through it all, Simon kept stepping up to the plate and showing that he completed this comic book-producing foursome excellently.

PopCultHQ’s overall assessment:

This is it Valiant lovers and Bloodshot fans! Final bow and then exit stage left for the hero. What happens in here will have far-reaching impact across the character’s story. And it’s all thanks to the fine team that’s been working on the series. Make sure to pick up what is assuredly an amazing conclusion.
