Writing:
The writing for this entire book is pure gold. It reads like an interview in a major magazine such as ‘Time’ or ‘Life,’ wedded to the free-spirited banter and recall of a DVD/Blu-ray film commentary. Huge chunks of the book are Jackson and Doc reflecting on all manner of things, depending on the section. Whether it is the “origin story” and early development of the series, or notes in each season and episode tied to things like character development, plot and pacing, this is one book that takes the phrase “in-depth study” and brings it to a whole new level of meaning.
Art:
Artwork, oh there is artwork to spare. One could even say nearly every page (that isn’t full of Jackson and Doc’s musings and Ken’s questions) is stuffed to the top. Storyboards, character sketches, stills, lineups, pages showcasing sets and locations. Not to mention some great surprise art in the back related to both merchandise and the upcoming 7th season of the show. And the majority of it, all from the brilliant minds and nimble fingers of Jackson and Doc.

Art Book is a real thing. 376 pages of pure, unadulterated Venture Bros. history. “Hear” from the brilliant brains behind this fan-favorite show, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, as they are interviewed and muse with Ken Plume. It’s a fine piece of Venture memorabilia for one’s collection or as a gift for any dedicated Venture fan. So don’t delay, pick up a copy today. And remember…Go Team Venture!!
