PopCultHQ’s Comic Book Review:
ETERNITY #4 (of 4)
Writing:
Matt has taken Valiant fans on a crazy journey over the course of this series. Now it’s all come to a head in this, the final issue. Questions will be answered, secrets will be revealed. Some of the mysteries of the universe itself laid out before Abram and Myshka. And nothing is going to ever be the same again for these two, all thanks to Matt’s storytelling.
Art:
Trevor just keeps on delivering as the artist for this series. It defies conventional comic book logic on many levels. The pages within contain the kind of artwork that will boggle the mind and raise so many questions about the cosmic worlds untouched by Abram and Myshka. Should there ever be a sequel series to Eternity, let it be that Trevor returns as the artist, for he has made his mark here with his contribution.
Ryan Winn was a solid choice on the creative team as inker. His work adds depth to much of Trevor’s artwork. Especially the use of dark inks on both human and alien anatomy, rock formations and shadows in certain places that heightens the drama unfolding on those pages.
David’s done an exceptional job as colorist. Throughout the entire run of the series, he has delivered again and again and again. Each color for each character, big and small, has sold their existence to readers. The colors he applied to both Earth and the cosmic landscapes gave everything such a realness, like readers could reach out and be there, actually be a part of the action and the story.
The letterer is the final contributor to any comic book series or trade/collection. A Larger World Studios helped sell this book and make it enjoyable through their work on the series. Alongside Matt, Trevor, Ryan and David, A Larger World Studios provided the final component by taking Matt’s scripts and providing the letters that gave the heroes, villains, and other figures voices.
PopCultHQ’s overall assessment:
A cosmic comic series on an epic scale has come to an end. This, the final chapter of Eternity, wraps up the current plot line for both Abram, Myshka and their family. But it also raises other questions too that will leave people wanting more. To all Valiant readers and fans of Abram Adams, do not miss out on issue #4.
PopCultHQ’s Rating:
5 Out of 5 Stars
