Dragon Con 2024 Friday Cosplay Photos are here. This event runs August 29th through September 2nd in Atlanta, GA. This annual convention celebrates a broad spectrum of pop culture, including science fiction, fantasy, gaming, and comic books. Established in 1987, the event typically takes place over Labor Day weekend and features a wide array of activities, from photo shoots to workshops and almost anything you can think of in between. Dragon Con attracts thousands of attendees each year. It is renowned for its elaborate cosplay, diverse fan base, and numerous themed events, making it one of the largest and most popular conventions of its kind in the United States.
Friday is a busy day (well, they all are) at Dragon Con. Today, there are group shoots scheduled up the wazoo, celebrity panels, autographs, and those are just during the daylight hours. At night, there is even more to do.
I don’t know how anyone can keep track of everything that goes on at Dragon Con, even the official schedule doesn’t have everything. One thing we can keep track of is cosplay photos, but even then we don’t do justice to the great cosplays that are on-site for this event.

LOCATION
Dragon Con takes place annually on Labor Day weekend. Dragon Con will be held in our five host hotels the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Atlanta Hilton, Sheraton Atlanta, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, and the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Additionally, AmericasMart Buildings 2 and 3 provide a home for our Gaming, Vendors, and Comic and Pop Artist Alley.
HOURS
The convention opens at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and runs around the clock until 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Yep – you heard us right – that’s 96 hours of continuous enjoyment and excitement so come rested and ready to be overwhelmed with options on what to do. With so many amazing things going on all hours of the day, we recommend you check the app for times.
