‘Westworld’ Series to Debut This Fall on HBO

The highly anticipated television series ‘Westworld’ looks to finally be hitting the small screen… and sooner than we thought. HBO has announced that the first season will consist of ten episodes and air in fall of 2016.

W2Getting this series on the air has been a difficult task. Originally planned for a 2015 release, the network informed the media that its release would be pushed back to 2017. The show had stopped production earlier this year to complete the scripts. HBO commented that they did not want to rush the project. Jonathan Nolan, writer and executive producer of the series, stated they did not expect all of the challenges they encountered in making a sci-fi western.

‘Westworld’ is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name. The concept of ‘Westworld’ is that it is about “the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin.”

Look for ‘Westworld’ this fall on HBO. The series stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, and Jeffrey Wright.
