[Trailer] Marvel & 20th Century Fox Debut First Look at ‘New Mutants’

“Last question…do you know what mutants are?”

Friday the 13th. A day associated with bad luck and horror flicks. It is also the day in which Marvel and 20th Century Fox decide to drop the first trailer for 2018’s highly-anticipated film ‘New Mutants.’

A departure from previous X-Men movies, ‘New Mutants‘ is a horror film that will showcase the lives of the young “gifted” children of the atom. The flick stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why), and Alice Braga (Elysium), with ‘The Fault in our Stars‘ director Josh Boone delivering this haunting look at the mutants set to the backdrop of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall.” Boone went on record with EW.com explaining how New Mutants will differ from other X-films, “We are making a full-fledged horror movie set within the X-Men universe. There are no costumes. There are no supervillains. We’re trying to do something very, very different.”

Also slated for release in 2018 are both X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Deadpool 2. The X-Men universe is about to get a whole lot bigger.

Everyone has demons.
