1930 – Scotch Tape 3M markets Scotch Tape
1949 – The first daytime soap opera “These Are My Children,” was broadcast by the NBC station in Chicago
1958 – First U.S. Satellite the Explorer I is launched.
1961 – The U.S. launches the chimpanzee Ham the Astrochimp into space aboard a Mercury test flight by NASA.
1971 – Apollo 14 is launched
1983 – The new seatbelt law comes forcing drivers and front seat passengers to wear seat belts at all times.
1990 – McDonald’s was opened in Russia
2014 – 83-year old “Greater“, the flamingo died in the Adelaide Zoo in Australia. The flamingo was believed to be the oldest on Earth
