In a place where the land that used to be inhabited by huge populations of people, a place with structures used to reach the skies – but that time has been long lost and forgotten. Now the people of this new era are living off the land trying to survive in the world now ruled by those in power and the monstrous Titans that roam the Earth.
But there is one small girl, Mala, who has the ability to use magic and is looking to bring back the days of old, the days of towering buildings and the good times. She must find a warrior to help protect her on her grand journey, but no one will help her if she cannot pay.
Here enters Strayer, the mercenary who lives for taking down Titans, as long as it comes with a fee of course. But he’s not your normal barbarian that is usually found in these parts. He carries a very odd pair of knuckle bands that form large blades and he also seems to have the power of invulnerability. Good tools to have in the land of monsters, as it is shown in the first issue. Strayer is tossed in jail for fighting but it’s not long before the town needs his help, but he must be careful. As it is not easy taking down a titan and not end up flattening the village in the same process.
A fine first issue from AfterShock Comics that already has this book on my next months pull-list. I give this book a 4 out of 5 rating but I really want to see and learn more.
