MEGACON Orlando ran Thursday, February 1 through Sunday, February 4. This huge event draws big name celebrities, artists and exhibitors from all realms of fandom. Cosplay, anime, film, comics, art, and more are all on display in this annual pop-culture festival. This is billed as one of the largest conventions in the southeast U.S. , however after this weekends numbers it may be THE largest. This weekend pulled in over 190,000 attendees. IKKiCON is a three-day Japanese Animation and Pop-Culture Convention held annually at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, Texas. This years cosplay event ran January 19-21. This is a great place to get some cosplay photos. This convention features karaoke, gaming, anime music videos, dances, live music, contests, a dealers’ room, an artists’ alley and art show.Celebrity guests at this years event included Greg Ayres, Bryn Apprill, Chris Patton, and Macy Anne Johnson. MAGFest (Music And Gaming Festival) is a four-day event dedicated to the appreciation of video game music, and gaming. This cosplay friendly event runs 24 hours a day with consoles, arcades, tabletop, LAN, live video game cover bands, chiptunes, vendors, guest speakers, shows, and panels. Also known as Super MAGFest or more recently MAGFest Prime this event is held at the Gaylord National Hotel in National Harbor, MD.
