Broken Roads, developed by Drop Bear Bytes, is a little different than your standard post-apocalyptic RPG’s. For starters, it is based in the Australian Outback and uses authentic Australian locations and environments which will give it a different feel. Secondly, you will have up to six party members you can take on quests. Thirdly, and this is the big one, there is a unique morality system called the “Moral Compass.”

“Moral Compass” makes the gameplay a little more real and true-to-life. The idea behind it is that it’s unrealistic for someone to choose a “good” option and then immediately choose an “evil” option. The compass allows you to see where your character’s moral alignment is and choose your current choices from within the parameters of that alignment. So, like real-life, it is a series of choices that will slowly shift your alignment towards evil or good. Or, like most of us, stay somewhere in the middle.
