[Cosplay Photos] Anime Iowa 2022

Anime Iowa is a great location to spot some of your favorite anime cosplays and this year was no exception. Anime Iowa is an annual three-day event held in Coralville, this year it ran July 22nd through 24th. Featured events included Cosplay Masquerade and an AMV music competition. They also had tabletop and video gaming. Guests this years included DJ Skrat from Chicago and La Vie Cosplay. This was the place to show off some of your favorite anime characters and Cameron Moody caught several cosplays on camera for you to enjoy.

[Cosplay Photos] Tekko 2022

Tekko ran July 21-24th at the  David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is an annual four-day celebration of anime and all things associated with it. This is a showcase of Japanese pop culture, anime, music & gaming. Like many conventions they also offer cosplay contests, access to voice actors & industry guests, and a crafters and vendors hall. events feature cosplay masquerade, a hall cosplay contest, dance competition, Lolita Fashion Show as well as various gaming opportunities and panels. Thanks to Colin Searfoss Smith we get to see some of the great cosplay that was on site.

[Cosplay Photos] Dokidokon 2022 convention

Over the July 15th weekend the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, Michigan was invaded by anime characters. Hundreds of cosplay characters attended Dokidokon to celebrate their love of the genre and to show off their favorite characters. This was the conventions fifth year and people had a blast. Over a thousand people walked the convention doors to shop, ogle and participate. Special thanks go out to Casey Quinlan who was kind enough to let us use their cosplay photos.

[Cosplay Photos]ConnectiCon 2022

ConnectiCon is billed as Connecticut’s longest running pop culture event. This fan-run event is located in Hartford and ran from July 14th to the 17th. They host a multi-genre selection of cosplay, gaming, celebrity guests, panels, and workshops. This year’s celebrity guests included voice actors John Swasey and Chuck Huber, and AEW wrestlers Kip Sabian, Butcher, Penelope Ford, The Blade, and Bunny. There was no shortage of things to do and see. Thanks to Ben Sanchez we get to see some of the cosplay.

[Cosplay Photos] METROCON 2022

METROCON is a four-day anime convention held annually at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida, and is the state’s largest anime convention. METROCON was first held in 2003 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel moved to the Tampa Convention Center in 2005.  METROCON typically invites a variety of voice actors and hosts several activities and panels.
