Steel City Con is one of the largest comic conventions in the United States with over 100,000 square feet and 750 vendor tables. They also have an artists alley and celebrity guest area. It is held at the Monroeville Convention Center in Monroeville, PA.
The primary draw of this convention are the TV and film personalities. This year they had over 35 well-known names. You could attend Q & A’s, panels, photo ops, or get their autographs. Other big events at Steel City Con include cosplay & trivia contests as welll as fan-led panels.
Their were the usual complaints about overcrowding and parking issues, but in general most people were please to see that both situations had improved over the previous year. The event was better organized and capped ticket sales leading to slightly less crowding.
