The Shawicon is a two-day pop culture ‘tribute’ held annually in Shawinigan, Quebec, but also internationally. This year, the event ran over the weekend of February 25th.
This event brings celebrity guests in from the province and internationally. This year’s guests included a retired Canadian actor and WWF wrestler Robert Maillet, M.Net host Denis Talbot, and voice actor Paul Sarrasin.
They also brought in several local cosplay groups such as Quebec Ghostbusters, Vikings Cosplay Quebec, Specter Base, and the The Imperial Fortress Garrison. There was no shortage of cosplay.
