After spending Thanksgiving eating good food, what better way is there for a Whovian to spend the holiday weekend than at the Midwest’s largest Doctor Who convention?
Running November 23rd-25th, Chicago TARDIS has been celebrating the world’s longest-running science-fiction television show since 2000, bringing in special guests associated with many different aspects of the show. Guests have included Doctors and their companions, recurring cast members, crew members, comic creators, and contributors to the Big Finish audio productions.
There is lots of fun to be had for Whovians of all ages. There are panels with guests and on a variety of topics, autograph and photograph sessions, cosplay events, a vendor room and artist alley, gaming, evening events, and even Camp Time Lord – a room where young attendees and their adults can hear stories, make crafts, and have all kinds of fun.
I was able to attend the convention on Saturday and there were all kinds of wonderful and creative cosplays, including a large meetup of 13th Doctor cosplayers!
