Heading to a convention can be daunting, and heading to one that is out of town can be even worse. What if you forget something? We are going to try and make it a little easier by giving you a nice basic list that will help you remember the essentials of your cosplay packing. Just don’t forget your normal clothes, too.
We are going to work from head to toe. It may seem pretty basic, but it helps keep you from forgetting something vital.
Cosplay Packing List
- Helmet / Hat / Wig / Hairpiece
- Hairspray
- Brush / Comb
- Hair fasteners such as hair ties, wig caps, bobby pins
- Makeup – don’t forget the makeup remover
- Jewelry – if your character wears any, this is a frequently forgotten item as it is small and a lot of people put it aside telling themselves they will get it later. Don’t do that – put it in with your bathroom stuff now, before you forget.
- Neck and shoulder pieces – do you have a collar or pauldrons?
- Back – Do you have back armor, a cape, coat or even a weapon you wear?
- Cosplay torso – whether this is armor or a body suit
- Cosplay arms – sleeves, bracers
- Cosplay Hands – This can be gloves, rings, bracelets, wrist weapons, finger armor, or even your nail polish.
- Waist – Belt or waist strap
- Leggings/ pants / skirt / kilt
- Legs – shin guard, thigh covering, or maybe a thigh holster
- Socks /stockings
- Boots / shoes / slippers
- Convention Ticket – probably the most important part
