PopCultHQ’s Comic Book Review:
ARCHIE’S SUPERTEENS VS CRUSADERS #1

Writing:

Archie Comics have always had top writers producing quality material. Now it’s 3 writers giving the modern readers a taste of a bygone era. Give a cheer because the Superteens are here. And they are joined in combat by those champions of justice, those paragons of purity and righteousness, the Mighty Crusaders. Make sure to dive into issue #1 and see what Ian, David and Gary have cooked up for everyone.

Art:

As if 3 writers weren’t enough, there’s 3 artists working on this book too. And 2 of them are also doing the writing. It’s a mega-mighty artwork mish-mash. People who follow Kelsey, David and Gary’s work are going to love seeing them flex those artistic muscles. Their renderings of Riverdale, the Archie gang, and the Mighty Crusaders will astound and amaze all.

Jack’s lettering is of a somewhat nostalgic beat for the first issue. It has the same modern tendencies of the newer Archie material, wedded to the intense power-packed and punchy comics of the 60’s and 70’s. Indeed, he throws around some super-style letters, especially where the action sequences are concerned.

PopCultHQ’s overall assessment:

Fans of all ages, Archie Comics has a treat for all of you. Get ready to buckle those minds, because they are about to be sent on a roller-coaster ride of excitement. It’s a titanic crossover that can only be told by 3 writers, 3 artists and one talented letterer. So don’t delay, get a copy of this first issue pre-ordered today.
