Disney is on a remake kick lately; they are trying to turn all their animated classics into live-action films. The latest to come to life is Beauty and the Beast ,which is due in theaters March 17, 2017.
Fans have been waiting for months to see what has become of the Beast and we finally get a decent look at the creature played by Dan Stevens of Downtown Abbey.
The trailer provides us with several familiar scenes from the 1991 animated film, such as the rose dropping its petals, Belle (Emma Watson) meeting the servants, and Gaston (Luke Evans) rallying an angry mob to destroy the Beast.
At this point, a lot of the scenes are familiar and it looks like a straight remake. The graphics are wonderful, but I sincerely hope they put some depth and story into the film.
