Once again Wizard World returned to St. Louis for 2019.
There isn’t much we can say for the event itself. The celebrity guest list was mediocre with the top name, Jason Momoa, only appearing on Sunday. The hall was filled with booths selling things like insurance, fortune telling, and vacation rentals.
But once you made your way around those factors, it’s everything else that makes the event enjoyable. The artists always have some wonderfully unique work and great stories. The vendors have pop culture merchandise, and the crafters have unique items you may not find elsewhere.
What makes this, or any convention, truly stand out is the cosplay and the people. The people are there to enjoy themselves and express their love of pop culture. The people are what make any event worth attending.
