Anime Banzai is a three-day convention in Utah that focuses on Japanese anime, culture, and manga. They started in 2005 and currently host their event at the Davis Convention Center in Layton, Utah.
This year’s event was a huge success. I’ve listened to, and read, numerous positive comments regarding the programming diversity, the scheduled events, and friendliness of almost everyone there. The negative of the event included a dark vendor area, bad audio for the cosplay contest, and dissatisfaction with the music choices at the formal (but there were still plenty that enjoyed it).
