Voltron Is Back And Bigger Than Ever – Check Out The Ultimate Edition From Toynami

The original Defender of the Universe is back. On March 8, 2016 Toynami released preview photos of the iconic Voltron being remade into action figure form.

V2The Voltron Ultimate Edition EX is available at Entertainment Earth for pre-order, and is looking to cost around a total of $400. The price is steep, yes I know, but it’s clear that you’re paying for the extreme detail that this figure has. Voltron is being sold all five lions in one set. Making that $400 pretty much a one time price.

Each articulated lion can transform into multiple positions. Combining all five lions together forms the 16-inch Voltron. Each lion has its own separate colors: red, blue, black, green and yellow. Voltron also comes equipped with sword and shield, providing Voltron with the ultimate defense. With the recent release of Voltron From the Ashes by Dynamite Comics, I see this being a big hit with fans all over the world. I don’t see Voltron sitting on the shelves long folks so get up! Get out there! Pre-order Voltron today and don’t be caught in the dust of this one boys and girls.

About Voltron:

Voltron is a giant mecha robot first featured in the 1980s animated television series Voltron: Defender of the Universe. There has since been a 2nd series, made in the 1990s using CGI techniques. The 1980s Voltronseries was based on 2 vaguely related Japanese anime series. The anime was later dubbed into English and edited by the North American television production and distribution company World Events Productions. The adaptation was not a straight dub, however; as much violence as possible was removed from the original Japanese series.
