Viewing Videos w/ Vicki – March 8-14

It’s safe to say that there are a lot of videos out on the internet. Even aside from streaming television shows and movies, entire websites and apps are built around creating and sharing videos, and we love sharing the ones we enjoy so that others might enjoy them as well. Here are some of the videos (both new and old) I’ve enjoyed watching the past week, and I hope you enjoy them as well!

It might be a little obvious to say that Star Wars fans are some pretty passionate folks, but you could say that this fan in Russia might be up near the top; after all, building a Razor Crest replica is quite a feat!

If you’re missing the fun of riding a roller coaster at your favorite local theme park, then this might help a bit. Akiyuki Brick Channel has created a Lego roller coaster, and not only does the video show several run-through of the track, but also shows a break down of incorporating the various elements. One of the favorite moments is when it shows the car coming down a vertical piece of track and you can see just how thin and flexible the track is!

Not only are penguins adorable, but this video shows that they’re pretty resourceful! When a penguin found itself being chased off the coast of Antarctica by some orcas, it made the most of its surroundings and hopped aboard a boat full of tourists!

One of the great things about Star Wars: The Force Awakens was all the call-backs to the original Star Wars films, including seeing the Dejarik game aboard the Millenium Falcon, and the use of practical effects over CGI. The creative forces behind the film even brought back the original model makers to animate the sequence. In the video below, Adam Savage talks with them about returning to the film franchise and the changes that they’ve made this time around.

People who are mechanically and creatively inclined really do have my utmost respect. The ability to take one thing completely apart and turn it into something else. RAY STUDIO on YouTube took an electric shaver apart and turned it into a pretty impressive War Machine!

Technology really has come a long way, especially in regards with the phones we use every day. The fact that we can hold such powerful computers and cameras in our hand truly is astounding. The video below is an example of that, as the short film was shot entirely on an iPhone 12!

With WandaVision now concluded, the next MCU series due to premiere on Disney+ is Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and it will premiere on March 19. This featurette shows the stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan talking about the relationship between their characters what it’s like sticking the two fractious superheroes together.

Cat food brand Meow Mix decided their famous jingle needed to make a comeback in pop culture, so they’ve made an album of remixes of the tune. There are five new versions of the jingle, including the country version in the video below. What do you think? Is this smart marketing, or taking a gag too far?
