[Video] What We Watched: Fun Clips from the Past Week – Nov. 30 – Dec. 6

While we’re all staying at home, a lot of us are watching things online. With the plethora of videos available, and more being created every day, it’s an enjoyable way to pass the time and bring a little fun into our lives. Some of these may be brand new, some may be older, but here are a few of the videos I enjoyed this week.

Earlier this year, we lost actor Chadwick Boseman to cancer. Among his most well-known roles was T’Challa, a.k.a. the Black Panther in several MCU films. Marvel recently changed the intro to Black Panther to honor the late actor, showing memorable moment from his MCU films, behind-the-scenes moments, and script lines of important moments.

One of the things almost everyone is talking about is the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Even if you don’t watch the show, you probably know about Baby Yoda, and what a cute little guy he is. The show’s creator Jon Favreau recently appeared on the YouTube channel Binging with Babish to talk about Baby Yoda’s newest snack, followed by the host showing us how to make two versions of the blue macarons that recently appeared in an episode. Last year, the host also showed us how to make the broth that appeared in Season 1 of The Mandalorian, as well as what you can then do with it.

When you’re as small as Baby Yoda, sometimes you need a little help getting around. Even Yoda himself had an floating seat that he used in the prequel trilogy. Baby Yoda use a floating pod to get around, and maker SKS Props has this handy tutorial on how to make your own pod out of foam, complete with downloadable templates!

The holiday season is here, and along with it comes holiday songs. Twitter user @ParkerMolloy took it upon himself to mashup Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas” with electronic music duo Daft Punk, and the result is truly unique. Whether it’s the good sort of mashup or not is for you to decide!

If there’s one thing nerds love to do, it’s dissect the minutiae of things we love. The video below goes into depth about just how big the Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation really is, and why it looks to be quite empty at times.

The ocean really is one of our greatest treasure, holding all manner of interesting creatures. This video shows just some of the ones that live in the Great Barrier Reef, captured in amazing detail.

From the deep ocean to some shallower water, this video gives a close-up look at just how odd flamingos are. Sure they can look a little weird, but how they eat really is out of the ordinary. I mean, how many animals do you know that eat upside down?

2020 certainly has been quite a year, leaning heavily into the “bad year” category for most of us. Ryan Reynolds pokes a little fun at that in this ad for his new dating service Match, showing the new relationship between Lucifer and the physical embodiment of 2020, all set to Taylor Swift‘s hit song “Love Story”. At least someone has had a good year?

What fun videos have you seen this week?
