[Video] What We Watched: Fun Clips from the Past Week – January 25-31

While we’re all staying at home, a lot of us are watching things online. With the plethora of videos available, and more being created every day, it’s an enjoyable way to pass the time and bring a little fun into our lives. Some of these may be brand new, some may be older, but here are a few of the videos I enjoyed this week.

This is Maxine, a subway-riding corgi who lives in New York with her owner. This video of them riding the subway is just adorable, as well as the reactions of people who come across her!

Cats are curious creatures by nature, so when this pet owner took their cat outside to show them the recent snow, it’s quite funny when that cat decides to explore!

Some days you dog takes you for a walk, and sometimes you ending up taking the dog for a walk. Or, as may be a more appropriate description of this video – you end up dragging the dog behind you!

When one of the world’s biggest parties gets cancelled, sometimes you have to improvise in order to carry on the spirit! New Orleans’ famous Mardi Gras parades have been cancelled this year, so the city’s residents decided to adapt and overcome, turning their front porches into elaborate “house floats”!

I may be fairly new to the world of cosplay compared to some, but I did know that the world of cosplay wigs has come quite a long way over the past several decades. This video chronicles just how far we’ve come – from shiny, plasticky Halloween store wigs, to lace-front, heat-resistant, wigs that look just as good as the real thing!

Earlier this week, the trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong dropped, but this isn’t the first time the two behemoths have gone head to head. This video compares footage from 1962’s King Kong vs. Godzilla with the new film.

Just how many bricks does it take to make the “Largest Mini Brick Build”? A mind-blowing 150 million bricks! The truly massive diorama to 50 designers and builders 3 years to create, and is themed after the battles in The Lord of the Rings. If you want to see it in person, you’d have to travel quite a distance, as it is located at the children’s museum Smaerd Land in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Since that’s not possible for many of us, you can enjoy this video documenting the gargantuan project.

Ken Jennings has been the guest host of Jeopardy! for a couple weeks now, and has been doing quite well. The other week, a contestant decided to poke a little fun at the former champion when he didn’t know the answer to that day’s Final Jeopardy question. Jennings was finally unseated from his 74-game winning streak on the popular game show when he failed to answer and clue about the tax preparation company H&R Block. You can see the videos of both below.
