[Video] What We Watched: Fun Clips from the Past Week – January 18-24

While we’re all staying at home, a lot of us are watching things online. With the plethora of videos available, and more being created every day, it’s an enjoyable way to pass the time and bring a little fun into our lives. Some of these may be brand new, some may be older, but here are a few of the videos I enjoyed this week.

There’s something special about seeing two actors that have played the same character interact, and this video with Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter is just a delight. The actresses talk about how excited they were when they learned they would be playing Wonder Woman, some of their favorite moments from filming, and what it means to play such an iconic character.

Popcorn and the movies are one of those duos that seem like they’ve been together forever, but that’s not exactly the case. This video goes into the history of popcorn – its origins, how it came to the United States, and how the snack became so synonymous with watching a movie, both at home and at the movie theater.

The Witcher premiered on Netflix a year ago, yet its popularity is still going strong, with the second season likely due out this summer. This video is of the show’s popular tune “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher” being sung in multiple other languages. It goes to show you that a catchy tune is a catchy tune, regardless of the language.

Being stuck at home and keeping distance from others has forced a lot of us to be creative in entertaining ourselves, which has brought forth some really fun moments. Comedian Tim Brehmer decided to have a little fun and brighten the day of others around him by skateboarding around as Din Djarin with Grogu. Overall, the reception to his antics has been quite positive, and I have to say that seeing this in my neighborhood would being a smile to my face!

It’s pretty well acknowledged that Spider-Man 3 was a big misstep, but at least it has given rise to a host of memes poking fun at Tobey Maguire‘s “bad” Peter Parker. Matan Studios on YouTube has taken this to a new level, editing the character into other movies like MCU and Star Wars films. The video below has Maguire’s Parker taking the place of Darth Maul in Revenge of the Sith.

Do you know how many lightsabers Luke Skywalker has wielded? This video chronicles every lightsaber the Jedi has used including both the Star Wars films and comics.

If a xylophone plays in the woods with no one around, does it really make a sound. In this video, a bouncing ball plays “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” by Johann Sebastian Bach by slowly rolling down a wooden xylophone though a Japanese forest. It may be an old commercial for a phone, but there’s something soothing about watching it and hearing the tune.

And finally, here’s a video of an unlikely friendship between an otter and a cat, where they’ve become to close that the one can’t fall asleep until the other is cuddled up with them.
