[Video] What We Watched: Fun Clips from the Past Week – December 28 – January 3

While we’re all staying at home, a lot of us are watching things online. With the plethora of videos available, and more being created every day, it’s an enjoyable way to pass the time and bring a little fun into our lives. Some of these may be brand new, some may be older, but here are a few of the videos I enjoyed this week.

Who doesn’t love a good nostalgia video? This original music video by Eric Power pays tribute to some of our favorite video games in stop-animation. Another of his videos, ‘Tatooine’ pays homage to the original Star Wars trilogy.

Birds are truly fascinating creatures. These slow-mo videos catch them gracefully landing, picking a treat from the proffered hand, and taking off once again quicker than many of us could normally catch with our own eyes.

I think it’s safe to say that this past year we all watched a lot of content, much of it on Netflix. The streaming service released a video in honor of those among us who “watched it all”, from some of our favorite shows to cultural phenomenons like Tiger King. Are you ready for a new year of fresh streaming content?

WatchMojo has a series of videos showing the evolution of genres in popular culture over time, including how what was once considered “geek culture” has become part of mainstream culture. This particular video shows the evolution of the fantasy genre, including the popularity of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings franchises.

If this past year brought us one good thing, for pet owners it gave them a lot more time at home with their pets. This video celebrate that, with some of the goodest dogs of 2020. See them play with each other, help their humans do their jobs at home, and just be absolutely adorable!

What was the best thin you watched this past week?
