[Video Interview] “Pants Optional” – Episode IV: Steven Prince

“Pants Optional” is a new Zoom video interview feature where we connect with individuals within the comic book community. It’s a way to see/hear what creators have been doing during a quarantine, projects which may be in motion during this downtime, and noteworthy events and happenings taking place in lieu of conventions, appearances, and the weekly NCBD grind.

For Episode IV, I spoke with Steven Prince, creator of MONSTER MATADOR. After a 12-issue maxi-series, and a fun spin-off in TALES FROM THE WORLD OF MONSTER MATADOR, Prince is bringing his latest world-building tale to Kickstarter.

MONSTER MATADOR: Tango of the Matadors #1, now LIVE on Kickstarter, is the first of a 3-issue miniseries further exploring the adventures of Ramon Alejandro Estévez-Guerrero. Steven has teamed up with illustrator Fábio Alves (BANJAX), colorist Alex Zief (HATCHET), and letterer Justin Birch (ZOMBIE TRAMP) for this project. The first issue is already complete! Backing this campaign will see funds go directly to printing, distribution, and rewards. All you who have backed comic book Kickstarters before, know it’s always a great thing hearing you won’t have to wait while the book is still being created/produced.

So if you enjoy witty adventures and monsters galore, you are DEFINITELY going to want to back this campaign. We, at PopCultHQ, highly endorse this campaign, as well as the MONSTER MATADOR franchise. Just terrific stuff!
