Two Years Ago Today – March 25

On March 25, 2015 we had news about a lot of movies…

It was announced that plans for a new Scarface were moving forward. It still has a 2018 release date, but no casting beyond Diego Luna has been announced.

We found out that the Ghost in the Shell animated movie was being released that June. It had the extremely creative title of Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie  and got lukewarm reviews.

Speaking of “okay” movies, we were told that Jubilee would be joining us in X-Men:Apocalypse. A movie that garnered mixed reviews, but was an enjoyable watch even if it didn’t really follow any canon.

We also got our first look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in the poorly received Batman v. Superman. In my opinion he would have been better off playing Riddler than Lex Luthor, and the movie might have improved slightly with the correct character casting.

To make us feel better about all the bad choices out there, Jason gave us fun facts about the Avengers:Age of Ultron.

Along the theme of Avengers, we also got to see a new Hawkeye Action figure.

We learned that the Star Wars Battlefront Trailer would be shown at Star Wars Celebration.
