As the next live-action Disney movie to make its premiere, we have slowly been seeing more of the new Aladdin movie, both in teaser form and promo images. Now, we have a new trailer for the film, giving us a little better idea of what to expect.

For those not familiar with the 1992 film, Aladdin tells the story of a street urchin who comes across a genie lamp and disguises himself as a prince in order to win the heart of the princess. The legendary Robin Williams voiced the Genie, filling the movie to pop culture references, humor, and show-stopping tunes galore.

It appears that the live-action film will follow much of the same story, though it will no doubt have it some unique twists thrown in in the vein of the Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast live-action films. This time around, Will Smith plays the role of Genie, and we finally see him in his natural blue state in the new trailer.

In addition to Genie, we get to see glimpses of the ‘Prince Ali’ number, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Abu the monkey, the Cave of Wonders, and just hint of Jasmine taking Aladdin’s hand to step onto his flying carpet.

What do you think of the trailer? Will your be flying to your local theater when the movie comes out?
