When it was announced earlier this year that Lashana Lynch would be in the new James Bond film, it was heavily rumored that she would be taking up the mantle of Bond. With today’s trailer release, that was debunked – sort of. While her character’s name might not be Bond, she is a “00” agent, and has been in the game for two years since Bond left the spy game for a quiet life in Jamaica.
Soon enough, though, Bond’s old CIA friend Felix Leiter finds him and asks for his help rescuing a kidnapped scientist. As with any Bond adventure, things are hardly what they seem to be at first, and things quickly become dangerous.
No Time To Die stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Léa Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, and Ralph Fiennes. It is directed by Cary Fukunaga and will be released April 8, 2020.
