Season 1 of Marvel’s Daredevil saw the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen take down Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. Since then we’ve seen him as he sat in prison, but you’d be wrong if you thought that prison could contain him. The final trailer for Season 3 shows that his situation is about to change.
The previous trailers have been very light of details, but this most recent trailer gives us lots to digest. The Season 3 synopsis is as follows:
Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero.
In the trailer we see that Fisk makes some kind of deal in exchange for release from prison. As one could easily guess, upon his release from prison he is determined to get revenge on Daredevil. As such, he seeks to discredit Daredevil in the public eye by hiring someone to impersonate the vigilante, committing crimes in his name. We even see the two face off, the fake Daredevil in the classic red costume, while Matt Murdock is back in his black outfit from Season 1.
Season 3 of Daredevil premieres on Netflix October 19th.
