1909 – Mary Pickford made her motion picture debut in “The Violin Maker of Cremona.”
1954 – Ford Motor Company formed a styling team to take on the project of designing an entirely new car that would later be named the Edsel.
1955 – “The $64,000 Question” premiered.
1968 – Legoland Billund opend in Billund, Denmark. It was the original Legoland park.
1969 – “Johnny Cash Show” debuts on ABC-TV
1975 – Sony introduces the Betamax videocassette recorder for sale to the public
1976 – “The NBC Nightly News”, with John Chancellor and David Brinkley, aired for the first time.
2011 – Nintendo’s new video game system, the Wii U is introduced; it has a touch-screen display designed as a bridge between portable and tablet-based games and console video games
2018 – Mars Curiosity Rover finds organic matter, including methane, on Mars in studies published in journal “Science”
