1495 – First written record of Scotch Whisky appears in Exchequer Rolls of Scotland, Friar John Cor is the distiller
1533 – Anne Boleyn crowned Queen of England
1880 – The first pay telephone service in the United States is installed in New Haven, Connecticut
1935 – Driving test & license plates introduced in England
1938 – Baseball helmets were worn for the first time.
1953 – Raymond Burr made his network-TV acting debut. It was in “The Mask of Medusa” on ABC-TV’s “Twilight Theater.”
1954 – In the Peanuts comic strip, Linus’ security blanket made its debut.
