Deadpool, The Merc with a Mouth, has only been around for a very short time. The Marvel Comics character first appeared in The New Mutants #98 cover-dated (Feb. 1991) created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/writer Rob Liefeld. At first Deadpool was depicted as a supervillain when he made his appearance in The New Mutants and later in issues of X-Force. Over time the character has evolved into the new role of an antihero, making ‘Pool one of the hottest, most sought after comic book properties in his short but memorable history. Deadpool comics are almost impossible to find in the aftermarkets, always seemingly catching top dollar prices immediately upon release.
