I Love Lucy Returning in May IN COLOR!!! #ILoveLucy

I Love Lucy in color!

I Love Lucy, a 50’s sitcom starring Lucille Ball, is making its way back to the small screen… but in color! Entitled the I Love Lucy Superstar Special, CBS will be showing two colorized episodes with a vintage feel to them. The first, “L.A. at Last,” has William Holden as a guest star and hasn’t been broadcast in 60 years. The second, “Lucy and Superman,” features the original Superman, George Reeves (Adventures of Superman)!

I Love Lucy originally aired on CBS from 1951-57. The show won the Emmy for Best Sitcom twice. The CBS special will air on May 17th @ 8pm.

Lucille Ball statue is not welcomed in her hometown! Residents want a new one!

It seems the residents of Lucille Ball’s hometown want her statue removed from a local park, with many saying the “ugly” likeness of the statue even compares to a show like The Walking Dead rather than I Love Lucy!

The bronze Lucille Ball statue has been a tourist draw since 2009 for Celoron, the comedian’s birthplace, attracting visitors who pose with the statue for pictures. The comic star is frozen in time holding a bottle of her famous fictional nutrition elixir “Vitameatavegamin” from the elixir scene of the classic TV show I Love Lucy. Or at least that is how the statue was sculpted to represent, but does it?
