The Dark Christmas Film Festival was held last week in Salt Lake City and our friends at Undefinity entered with their latest short, Naughty List.
The short was reportedly shot and edited within a span of 72 hours and although the film was completed in a time crunch, the output awed and amazed. The film snagged Best Editing, Best Directing, and Best Film.
The cast consisted of D.L. Walker (Santa), Maclain Drake (Elves), Harmony (Cindy-Lou), and Tara Layton (Mrs. Claus’ voice). D.L. Walker expressed excitement of their wins on Instagram along with a shout out to Reel Change who produces festivals in the like to support causes in need.
Undefinity has been creating content and posting their shorts on YouTube for over a year. Their horror comedy channel has gained over 440k views so far and we at PopCultHQ love watching them grow.
If you would like to be a part of their journey, check out their Patreon page and be sure to pledge towards helping them create a new weekly show that promises “games, guests, music, and comedy.” The Patreon page also commits that it will “be different because [Undefinity] is doing it and [they] are freaking weird.” We can pretty much vouch that.
The creativity that out-pours from Undefinity is always laced with a little fun. Naughty List takes us into the hard life of Santa Claus and proves to us that any hard decision will always have consequences. Watch the award winning Naughty List by Undefinity and be prepared to be “sleighed.”
