More than halfway into the year and things really aren’t improving. I don’t think we can expect to see many cosplay conventions this year, but we can look back on some events of the past and enjoy the cosplay.
indiana comic con
This year has been complete chaos and the convention world (along with everything else) has been put on hiatus. PopCultHQ thought we would take a walk down memory lane and look at cosplay from years past.
This was the third Indiana Comic Con, but only the first time we had covered it.
Indiana Comic Con is in its fifth year and every year it seems to grow and get better. This year they have taken up over 40,000 square feet of the Indiana Convention Center, which is four times what they started with in 2014.
Celebrity guests this year included David Harbour, James & Oliver Phelps (the Weasly twins), Sean Astin, Matthew Lewis, Jonathan Frakes, Sean Young, Michael Biehn and a whole lot more. The literary gusts included well-known authors L.E. Modesitt Jr. and Star Wars novelist Timothy Zahn.
As usual, the cosplay was was stellar. Thank you to all the great cosplayers and photographers, you give us the eye candy to go with the brain food and overall enjoyment that come with these events.

This past weekend people flooded into the Indiana Convention Center dressed as superheroes, Disney princesses and anime characters. All genres were represented at the Indiana Comic Con.
Last year the Indiana Comic Con brought in more than 40,000 attendees This is only it’s third year and year it was expected to be even bigger. The three-day event showcased a variety of vendors, artists and celebrities including Cary Elwes from “The Princess Bride,” Millie Bobbi Brown from “Stranger Things,” and Nichelle Nichols from “Star Trek“.

We at PopCultHQ are trying something different. If you went to this convention, please fill out the rating system below so that others can know what to expect from this con in the future.
This past weekend was the third annual Indiana Comic Con. This two-and-a-half day convention saw over 40,000 people pack into the Indiana Convention Center and they are already making plans to return next year.
They had a stellar line up of celebrities that included Ray Park, Brent Spiner, John Rhys-Davies, Jack Gleeson and Ian McDiarmid. And their artists alley was even better with Joel Adams, Chris Claremont, Jim Lawson, George Perez and so many more than I could list.
This time I did something a little different and asked for volunteers to donate their photos. There were some fantastic photos from everyone, but instead of picking and choosing the best of a fantastic lot, I decided I would go with the first two that volunteered, and put them in alphabetical order.
And not to be forgotten are the photos from Lee Tapscott who has some awesome cosplays himself.
