‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Actor Tom Holland Visits LA Children’s Hospital

If you’re going to play a superhero, whether it be in the MCU, DCEU, or on TV, you know that you will have a lot of little kids looking up to you. Embodying a well-loved hero will make you become that character in their eyes, and many of these actors carry that duty with them far beyond the film set, going the extra mile and visiting children’s hospitals in costume for their biggest fans.

Spider-Man: Homecoming actor Tom Holland is one such person, as he recently visited LA Children’s Hospital in his official costume to meet some kids fighting their own battles. The hospital released a video of the visit, and it is nothing short of heart-warming.

Holland does more than just pose for a few photos with the kids. He performs a few flips, signs movie posters, and has full conversations with them about his suit and powers. He also takes off his mask, showing that he really is the Spider-Man many of the have already seen in Captain America: Civil War. Many of them seemed particularly taken with how his web shooters work and enjoyed learning about his tech. Did you catch how he makes a pen “stick” to his hand?

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters July 7.
